Sinopsis:
La serie se centraba en los detectives Jim Taggart, un policía
rudo al viejo estilo y su compañero, que representaba a la nueva hornada de
detectives recién graduados, Peter Livingstone. Además de resolver los crímenes,
la serie se centraba en la vida de la comisaria y la propia vida en familia de
Taggart.
En 1994, Mark Mcmanus murió durante el rodaje de un episodio, pero aun así la
serie continuó en marcha, el personaje interpretado por James Macpherson, Mike
Jardine, que se había unido a la serie en 1987, fue ascendido a detective jefe
y continuo teniéndolo a él como protagonista hasta el año 2002, en el que su personaje
fue asesinado.
Retomó la serie Matt Burke, ex integrante de la División
Especial, hasta la cancelanción de esta en el 2010.
