Sinopsis:

Mr. Novak, protagonizado por James Franciscus, daba clases en una universidad de Los Angeles bajo la supervisión del director Albert Vane, quien no siempre estaba de acuerdo con los procedimientos de Novak pero admiraba su dedicación a la enseñanza.

Al final de la primera temporada Vane obtuvo un cargo en otro Universidad, y el puesto de director fue ocupado por Martin Woodridge (Burgess Meredith). Las historias de esta serie se centraban en la vida de Novak, sus relaciones con los estudiantes, y sus enfrentamientos con otros profesor
